Mad Fish Glass Beads was born when I first saw beads being made. I knew right then I had to create with hot glass. Lampwork is a type of glasswork that uses an oxygen propane fueled torch to melt rods of clear and colored glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by shaping with tools and hand movements. I am fascinated by the transformation of cold solid glass into a molten state, then molding it into my own unique designs. Beads are then fired in a kiln giving lasting strength. Each bead is its own unique piece of art.
